Why Are We Here?
Why are we here is a question that most people will ask themselves at some point. What’s my purpose? Is there a purpose to life? I talked about this subject in this video. Let’s dive in a little here.
Are we here to accumulate as much crap as we can before we die? Do we exist to make as much money as possible? Have as much fun as possible? You know in your heart that none of that is true, so why are we here? I believe the answer is simple. We are here to learn as much as we can, pass that on to the next generation and improve the lives of every generation that follows. In many ways, that has happened. Technology has made the world a more hospitable place to live. Food, for the most part, is easier to access, but there are also things that have made this world worse, and we have to recognize that and do something about it.
Debt is one of those things. According the CNBC, as of May 2024, the total debt in the world was $315 trillion, see that here. The population of the world is approximately 8 billion, so divide $315 trillion by 8 billion and you get $39,375 per person. The debtor is slave to the lender and if we have a world where there’s so much debt and 8 billion people could owe almost $40,000, we have been sold a lie. Who are we in debt to? And, who are the slave masters?
Debt is Slavery
What can we do? Do we want our posterity to be enslaved with even more debt? Should we allow student loan debt to go to $3.4 trillion? Is $1.7 trillion not enough? Who do we go to to fix this? Government? Hell, no, government got us here. We have to come together in love. Community is how we will fix this.
